HOPING JOHN WAS RIGHT
We got a call from the police at about 7PM, saying
that they had found nothing in their search of the train trestle area. John
seemed relieved and said, “Maybe this will turn out okay.” I did not share his
relief. I wanted to go home.
I was inconsolable and angry with John for trying
to put a positive spin on this when I felt so bad. Also, I hoped desperately
that John was right
